Randall | WTF? Dems have lost all sense of reality. Chain migration would continue until the backlogs get cleared through, which will take years and are not from "white" European nations (and haven't been for more than 50 years). And how many of those 1.8 million plus illegal immigrants are white? None of them. |
Catalina | B. S. Look a little closer. There are quite a lot of illegal white immigrants and always have been. That is why all this talk of Africans and Hispanics is racist. |
Randall | If that were true (which it's not), explain how giving them a path to citizenship would be racist. Get your definitions straight. Are the DACA immigrants "mostly white"? Are their million plus family members who are being offered amnesty and a path to citizenship "mostly white"? Are any of the countries backlogged for chain migration "mostly white" nations? Do you know the definition for racism? I'll give you a hint: The answers to all of the above questions is not "yes." Furthermore, when Bill Clinton said we need to control illegal immigration, the Dems cheered. Where was the outrage then? |
Catalina | You are really good at grabbing an imaginary straw and running with it. Your response has little connection to my statement. There are lots of illegal white European immigrants in this country. They blend in to the background because profiling is not looking for them. And no one is complaining about them in fact some of us deny their existence😲 |
Catalina | I have no idea where the outrage was in the 90s. I was not here. However in England, as here, then as now, immuirants were being blamed for the fact that natives seem to love hiring them. Where is the outrage at that employers criminality? |
Randall | There's a lot of outrage. Pay attention. Republicans want those employers held for breaking the law and harshly fined if not jailed. We want that to apply for all states (in some it does now). |

I am definitely outraged that American companies hire illegal aliens. Prosecute them and send them to prison. Part of the "new" immigration bill should be E-Verify and the law should require all employers to run every employee and any prospective employees through the E-Verify system. After reading your comment, I'm sure you're all for that. |
Randall | No, she's against it. |

Really? I thought she was for it. Just another deflection argument. |
Randall | She lives in CA and vehemently defends CA. Need I say more? |
Randall | She used "outrage" to mirror me--no doubt thinking we supported the hiring of illegals. |
jwhop | Oh, I see. She lives in California, otherwise known as Northern Mexico. |
Randall | It's spelled Kalifornia, comrade. |
Catalina | Ill leave you two to speak among yourselves since you seem to think you know all about what others are thinking without any actual input from them. |
Randall | ICE arrests in Kalifornia are on the rise! |
Catalina | Are you acquainted with the chain immigrants from eastern Europe who happen to be the Prez's in-laws? Where do you get the idea that only brown people bring their families in? Hannity? |
Randall | I never said anything of the sort. |
Catalina | You made a case for Dreamers being nonwhite and chain immigration not a white problem either.. a few inches up the page. Its nonsense. Remember Kosovo and Romania and Bosnia? How about all those iron curtain refugees? Whwre do you think the large Irish/German/ Italian American populations cane from? Periodically we decide to shut the doors on certain groups.. until the need for cheap labour crops up again. The imminence of robot labour is partly behind this... |
Randall | I'm talking about the current backlong, as in the present. But that commentary is just on the side. My main point is about the Dems' absurd racist accusations. |
